About Me and a little history

My name is Angel Meza, I am a graphic and web designer. I first became interested in graphic design as a junior in high school (2002). I took a graphic design class the same year with a friend and by the end of the year I was designing projects for local businesses. During my last high school year I found myself curious about the web. I spent most of my free time in the library reading books about the web, how it works, and reading online tutorials about HTML and web design. Two month after picking up my first HTML book I hand coded my first website. By the end of my senior year I landed my first job working fulltime as a graphic designer for a Telecommunications company (CPT Telecom) where I was responsible for the development and design of their identity and all print and web graphics. After a year of working with CPT Telecom I moved on working on my own as a freelancer.

In 2006 I expanded my services to include print fulfillment, and so I started Intelligent Graphics. I started with a simple one page website that listed my contact information and four print choices (business cards, postcards, flyers, and brochures). Six month later I added three more pages of print choices and prices.

In 2007 I updated my website to a full printing and graphic design service website. Working with some of the top printers in the US I was able to offer some of the most affordable and high quality print choices on the web and listing over 2,000 print choices.

In 2008 as demand for better print choices grew so did the need for custom printing. I added more graphic design services and print choices. Working with different printers I was able to meet the demand for more sustainable and affordable printing while maintaining high quality. Once again the list grew, listing over 3,500 print choices.

By mid 2009 I decided to take down the two and a half year old website. It was a little outdated and I decided to focus once again on my core services “Graphics and Web Design”. I am currently working on the new printing website. It will only list the items that are most popular and most requested, making it easier for customers to find what they are looking for.

Starting Intelligent Graphics helped my customers achieve an extra level of professionalism in their market. I am able to start a project and follow it through completion. This allows me to maintain full management control of the whole project and make sure the quality of the project is up to standards. As my website grows, so do my skills and the services I offer. I am passionate about graphic and web design. I love to learn the latest web technologies and I enjoy the challenge of implementing those technologies. I am a student of graphic and web design, and I will always be.
